Over the course of 2010 The Path will be running a series of
nature walks in and around Shropshire. This is as an opportunity to
walk and talk with friends of like mind.
The Path offers Solar (Daytime) and Lunar (Night time) walks which allow you the
opportunity to attune yourself to the different phases of these luminous, celestial
bodies.

Ancient Wisdom each tree has a magical association.
Oak
The King of Trees, sacred to the druids who met in oak groves to commune with their
Gods. Traditionally a Solar Tree, the Oak is associated with wisdom, authority, the
expansion of horizons and success.
Sycamore
As withe the Oak, sacred to Jupiter, a tree of wisdom and expanded vision.
Elm
The elm is linked with the Astrological sign of Capricorn and the dark months of December and January. It is linked
with fidelity , whether to a cause or a person and can help in all transitions and times of instability.
Yew
A tree sacred to Saturn, the yew assists in overcoming difficulties or limitations helping to
build strength, patience and resilience in times of difficulty.
Willow
Sacred to the Goddess and linked to the moon, the willow helps assists in the
resolution of emotional traumas and problems and is associated with motherhood, caring
for others and fertility.
Holly
Like the Yew, the Holly is sacred to Saturn. Christians associate the the red berries with the blood of Christ.
Hawthorne.
Sacred to Mars and the Norse God Thor it is believed to act as a shield against physical and psychic harm.
